As you may have already discovered Greenville is a bit off the beaten path, which is part of what makes it great.
Flying will only get you so close, so be sure to check out the driving page for some of our favorite places to stop along the way.
Bangor, Portland, Manchester, and Boston have the closest airports. Most of these are pretty small airports, we've had good luck finding reasonable flights with Kayak.
Bangor
The Bangor airport is about a 1.5 hour drive from Greenville. It's a pretty small airport and flight choices tend to be a bit limited - Delta goes through LaGuardia and Detroit and US Air goes through LaGuardia and Philly. Rental cars are available from several national chains.

Portland
The Portland airport is about a 3 hour drive from Greenville. While still a relatively small airport, it is a bit bigger than Bangor and has a few more airline choices. Rental cars are available from several national chains.

Manchester
The Manchester airport is about a 4 hour drive from Greenville. It's also a small airport but it is serviced by Southwest (and other airlines) which can be quite useful. Rental cars are available from several national chains.

Boston
The Boston airport is just less than a 5 hour drive from Greenville. You probably know that General Edward Lawerence Logan (we just learned there was more to it then Logan as well) is a major airport so we'll dispense with rental car and airline choice links.
